The Sutton Neighbourhood Watch AGM was held at the Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, on Tuesday 25th June starting at 7.00pm.
We had a full agenda this year with:
A presentation about what the Met’s ‘Local Policing Model’ changes will mean for Sutton will be given by Inspector Neil Tyre. This will be on the day after the new Local Policing Model is due to ‘go live’ in Sutton.
Come along to find out what the changes will mean for us.
Insp. Tyre will also be speaking about the importance of NHW to local communities and the difference it makes
Colin Walden of the Safer Sutton Partnership will outline what opportunities the policing model brings in terms of greater communication between local neighbourhood police teams and local Neighbourhood Watch members. Details will be provided of local police contacts for each of Sutton borough's 18 Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
A Presentation by Marion Harper from Sutton Age UK about what they do to improve later life for everyone through their information and advice, services, campaigns, products, training and research.
In attendance to answer your questions and give advice will also be:
Crime Prevention Officer, Duncan Harris;
Brian Cox from Trading Standards;
A representative from Sutton Centre for Independent Living and Learning (SCILL)
