Police are appealing to residents to come forward if they have had some expensive Stihl power tools stolen in the last few weeks.
Officers from Carshalton Central and Wallington South Safer Neighbourhoods Teams recovered a strimmer and chainsaw after arresting two youths on suspicion of theft on Tuesday 4th May at 3.10pm. The youths, aged 14 and 17, were walking along Ross Road, Wallington. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
PC Pat White, of Carshalton Central SNT, said owners would need to provide the correct serial numbers of the tools when contacting police.
